Columbia River Dike & Steigerwald Wildlife Refuge Hike

Hike Distance: 5.4 miles

Elevation Gain: 471 feet

We had intended to hike on the Klickitat Trail but while driving through the Gorge we changed our minds due to significant snow on the ground in Hood River, and issues with my ankle.  So, we turned around and decided to hike on the Columbia River Dike and Steigerwald Wildlife Refuge.

The weather was very pleasant and as a result the trails were quite crowded.  Again we noticed that the Columbia River had a very high water level.  The highlight of the day was meeting Keri and Tracy, who I converse with often on Facebook, for the first time!  My wife and I really enjoyed talking with them and look forward to seeing them again on the trail!
