La Center Bottoms is a nice little nature park that has a dike that goes around the western side of this wetland adjacent to the East Fork of the Lewis River. Unfortunately, today the water was quite high and flooded over the trail before the bridge. I’ve never seen the water this high before, but it made sense with all the precipitation we’ve had. As such, I didn’t have access to a large portion of the trail and decided to head toward the Brezee Creek trail. To get to the Brezee Creek trail I walked east on East 4th Street and crossed to access the TH. Information on this trail can be obtained on Google. The Brezee Creek trail offers a bit less than 1.5 miles (out and back) of graveled surface for hikers. There are some nice views of Brezee Creek along with a single small waterfall with no access and a limited view. The Brezee Creek trail has plenty of benches and was devoid of people today. A truly beautiful sunny day to get out for a short hike!
