Hike Distance: 5.8 miles
Elevation Gain: 87 feet
To say this was a phenomenal day would be an understatement. The weather was perfect and the sights were amazing. I had so much fun on this hike that I only averaged slightly a bit over 1 mph. I must have talked with 10+ people, many of which were bird watchers that educated me.
I basically walked the entire scenic drive loop, the Kiwa loop trail and the bird blind trail. I felt very fortunate to see so much wildlife and photograph it, as can be seen in my pictures. I saw Hawks, a pair of Great Horned Owls, Swallows, Turtles, Red Winged Blackbirds, Blue Herons and a deer! 🙂
