Forest Park Wildwood Trail Hike

Hike Distance: 8.9 miles

Elevation Gain: 670 feet

This was perhaps one of the best hikes in the rain that I’ve been on!  I got caught in two downpours that both contained hail, and it was wonderful.  There was also plenty of thunder associated with these storms.  After the second downpour the sun came out and a full rainbow appeared in the forest!  It wasn’t very colorful, but I was still in awe of it, and tried to take a picture of it.  Most of the people I saw were trail runners, and there were plenty of them.  As I drove back home I noticed that there was so much hail on the road, in the west hills, that it looked like snow.  An awesome day to be out hiking.
