The owner of the Chinese restaurant, Lee, urged us to go see Salt Creek Falls, and it didn’t disappoint! We only took a small loop, that had a viewpoint above, in the middle and near the bottom of the falls. It’s the second highest falls in Oregon. Definitely worth going to!
I looked on a map and found the trail system out of this area would give many hiking opportunities, and we will definitely visit again!

We had such a wonderful time on a previous hike in this region of the PCT that we decided to visit again today! We parked in a small parking lot just off the Hwy, that is meant for PCT day hikers. We encountered a very large group that was obviously part of a paid hiking service, at the TH, and saw them until we passed by Upper Rosary Lake
It was a very nice day and surprisingly very few mosquito’s. 🙂 To say the lakes were spectacular would be an understatement. We spent a good deal of time taking photographs and just enjoying the beauty. We only bumped into a few people, except for the large hiking group, during the hike. We ended up stopping at a viewpoint that overlooked the Rosary Lakes and surrounding countryside. There was also a view of Diamond Peak from this viewpoint. A truly spectacular second day of our vacation!
