Vancouver Lake Trail System Hike

Hike Distance: 5.2 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1004.1 miles

Elevation Gain: 425 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 106416 feet

Another day of high temperatures and pollution due to fires in British Columbia.  The high temperatures aren’t as difficult as the high humidity.  Again, staying close to home and starting my hike earlier than usual is my objective.

Vancouver Lake wasn’t very crowded and I had plenty of solitude for much of the hike.  The water level was sufficiently low to get to areas that aren’t reachable during the rainy season.    There was also a someone target shooting just outside the park, which caused me to turn around prematurely, due to the noise.

I also met a nice gentleman and had a nice talk with him.  A fairly nice day and casual walk.
