We had one last hike before driving home from my 60th Birthday weekend, so I decided on the Larry Scott Trail. This trail is part of the Olympic Discovery Trail, and also the Pacific Northwest Trail. The Larry Scott Trail is an approximate 7.3 mile long trail that is dedicated to the namesake, who helped to make this trail a reality!
It was such a beautiful day and this trail was a pleasure to be hiking! This trail is much like many other rails-to-trails locations. It is asphalted in most locations but a section of it was like the typical trails we are used to. There were plenty of road crossings but they’re not an issue. Not many people on the trail but we met a women on horseback that was very nice.
A great day, and we plan to come back and complete it someday!
