I decided to hike the Lacamas Heritage Trail since I haven’t been here for a while. It rained for the majority of the hike but still had some dry moments.
It was so nice to reach 1500 miles for the year, on this hike, given that I’ve experienced an excess of health issues this year. I’m feeling fortunate that this is the second highest mileage year I’ve had since starting my 25k mile goal. I tend to push myself, even when an injury occurs, and have been fortunate that most of the problems work out, with time. I have seen doctors for all the issues, and have made sure I wasn’t going to permanently damage anything, which is always a wise choice!
Lacamas Lake was the lowest I’ve ever seen. There was also a land bridge (of what looked like mud) to an island on the south side of the lake. I expect the water level to be rising fairly soon, with all the rain forecasted.
There was quite a bit of noise, from some large construction equipment, on the SE side of the lake. I don’t know what is being done but am quite interested in what’s happening.
