I went north to escape the wind but it was blowing hard enough to feel chilly. For some reason I was a rougher time gaining elevation, but then some days are like this. After about 1600 feet of gain the road turned fairly level, which allowed me to settle into a comfortable pace.
At about 5 miles out I got sharpish like tingling on my right Planters Fascia. Not nearly as bad as I had before but still unexpected. The issue seemed to work out over the course of the return hike. Unfortunately, when I got home my ankle began exhibiting some issues, even though it seemed to self resolve over a month ago. Since I’ve seen a couple doctors for this issue in the past, I’m expecting it to recover with a little extra rest.
All in all, it was a fantastic day being out in the beautiful outdoors!
