Forest Road Hike

Hike Distance: 8.2 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 43.4 miles

Elevation Gain: 1739 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 6768 feet

Cloudy with intermittent rain and cool was the weather for the day!

Unlike most of our forest road hikes this one had a few nice water features that were a pleasure to see.  We saw two waterfalls and a very nice creek view from a bridge. 🙂  In addition, we saw two deer casually walking through an open area.  We froze in place and they turned and stared our way.  We stood there for a while and so did they.  I was able to snap off a couple pictures but they were too far to make out clearly.  Once we started moving again they just followed us but didn’t move.  Lucky for them we were only shooting pictures. 🙂

It ended up being a very nice day with some nice elevation gain and loss.
