A last minute decision to hike local. It was a bit cooler than expected and the wind didn’t help. It was a surprise that their weren’t any ships anchored in the Columbia, but this made for nicer pictures.
I met up with an older couple that was out for a walk, toward the end of the hike, and we had a very nice conversation. They were in their mid-80’s and just enjoyed getting out in the fresh air!
This hike worked out nicely as I wasn’t in the mood for a long hike with elevation. Sometimes it’s just nice to get out and not think about moving all the time. I took a couple breaks and just sat on logs, gazing out at the beautiful Columbia River. 🙂 A very relaxing day.
