Banks to Vernonia Trail Hike from Manning TH

Hike Distance: 7.3 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 284.1 miles

Elevation Gain: 337 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 41231 feet

My son wanted to practice riding on his new recumbent bike, so we headed out to this rails-to-trails hike, at the Manning trailhead.  The weather was very nice with plenty of sun  peeking out from the clouds.

The asphalt surfaced trail is a bit hard on the body but we didn’t hike far enough to take a toll on our body.  We especially enjoyed the long Trestle Bridge contained on this segment of the trail.

On our drive home we saw a beautiful rainbow when we were in the Hillsboro area.  A great day!
