The past couple have weeks I’ve slowed down quite a bit due to many factors. The Portland/Vancouver area has been seeing plenty of snow and we’ve spent quite a bit of time held up in our house. I’ve also had a couple of procedures that required days of preparation and took my energy level down. All these activities have taken away my short term motivation, and I hope to get back in the swing of things soon.
I almost stayed home and vegged out but was able to pick my lazy butt up and get out for some fresh air. I’m so glad I did as the fresh cold air, and snow flurried, put me in a more energetic mood. 🙂 I was so slow to get out that I forgot my hiking poles, which hasn’t happened before. I also found my satellite beacon had no battery power, and tethered it to my lithium-ion battery pack for the entire hike.
A bit of snow is still hanging around and the mood was fantastic. There was about a half dozen people seen during the hike. Not a long hike but certainly high quality.
