Lacamas Lake Park Hike

Hike Distance: 7.5 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 459.8 miles

Elevation Gain: 850 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 61739 feet

I would have to say that Lacamas Lake Park has some of the best scenery I’ve seen in a local park.  There are three impressive waterfalls and a natural area with an amazing display of Camas Lilies!

It rained on me a few times and the sky looked very foreboding at times.  This only added ambiance to the hike.

I looped around the park but spent most of the time along Lacamas Creek and all the water features.  There were also plenty of views of Round Lake.  I’m always in awe of the beauty along this creek, with its waterfalls and rapids.  There are so many stellar views to photograph, and I took my time doing just that. 🙂

I then looped around the outer edge of the park and stopped in the nature area to assess the progress of the Camas Lilly growth.  You can see the dark green blades of the Camas Lilly shoots but it’s far from blooming.  I’ll definitely be back for the big blooms!

Such a wonderful and relaxing day. 🙂
