Forest Road Hike

Hike Distance: 9.0 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 468.8 miles

Elevation Gain: 909 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 62648 feet

It was raining fairly well when we got to our parking area so we knew our clothes would be drenched by the end of the day.  However, after ascending a few hundred feet in elevation the rain turned to snow. 🙂  From then on it snowed during all but the last 1-2 miles of the hike.  The snow wasn’t sticking during our hike but the flakes were large and it felt like a winter wonderland.

No animals or people seen today, which added to the solitude.  A great day!
