I’m always surprised to see the Columbia River water level so high. There wasn’t much of a shoreline and many of the Cottonwoods were seen in the open water. Even many of the warning signs were far out in the water. A weird sight for sure! I also enjoyed photographing the huge thunderstorms in the Washington Cascade Mountains!
The park was flooded with people as well as water. I got the impression that many high school students were there but wasn’t aware of a day off? Plenty of people also fishing in the Columbia River.
Everywhere I hiked the trail ended up being flooded! I couldn’t even hike very far on the dikes because the grasses were so high and not fun to walk through. An enjoyable day but I’ll be saving this place for bad weather, or when school keeps most of the people away. haha
