Forest Road Hike

Hike Distance: 8.5 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1184.4 miles

Elevation Gain: 813 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 159538 feet

A much cooler day and almost looking like it will rain.  So much better then the 90 degree temperatures we’ve been seeing. 🙂  We couldn’t get out until my wife got home so we again stayed close to home.

No monumental views but plenty of nice walking under the canopy.  We also got quite the nice view of a creek.  The difficulty this time of year is avoiding the tourists, which is why we chose a forest road hike.  Luckily, nobody seen the entire day, which was awesome.  The solitude always boosts my spirits since there’s plenty of time to talk without interruption.  A great day!
