PCT Trail Magic Hike North from Trout Creek to Wind River Hwy

Hike Distance: 7.3 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1360.4 miles

Elevation Gain: 872 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 180047 feet

My wife and I were so glad to be able to spend one last day providing trail magic on the PCT, in southern Washington! The section we covered was between Trout Creek and the Wind River Hwy. It was a cloudy day but thankfully we didn’t get rained upon.

We started out by checking out the Trout Creek campsite and found a group of five thru-hikers chilling and having lunch. We talked for a while and then headed north toward the Wind River Hwy. We didn’t see any thru-hikerswhile heading north but this gave us a chance to enjoy the hike and spend some time looking at the view from the Wind River bridge!

On the way back to our car we met another seven thru-hikers. It was great to meet such great people but sad that this was our last trail magic hike for the season. We wish all the thru-hikers a safe and enjoyable journey and are looking forward to the next season!
