Forest Road Hike

Hike Distance: 8.1 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1553.9 miles

Elevation Gain: 1544 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 204045 feet

A forest road area that we typically visit.  It was on the cold side when we started but warmed up as the day progressed.  The area we visited was entirely forested so no expansive views, but it was still beautiful.  Our major concern today was avoiding the hunters as it’s the beginning of modern firearm (rifle) season, which in my opinion is the most dangerous.  We only saw a couple of hunters, in trucks, and one stopped to talk and was very friendly.

A nice day to be out in the fresh cool air and enjoy the outdoors.  There was also plenty of elevation gain to get a nice workout!
