Not having much time to drive further out I opted for this dependable hike close to home. The reason I can’t go too far is I have my first iron infusion later this afternoon. I’m sure hoping this helps my energy level and reduces my headaches.
I made a typical loop around a short section of the Salmon Creek Greenway but this time included the Cougar Creek Trail to add some variety to my typical hike. The Cougar Creek Trail parallels a creek, of the same name, and is mostly forested. On one side of the trail is the creek, which was way low in water, and the other side are the yards of private property. The private property really doesn’t detract much from the atmosphere, which is quite nice.
All in all a nice hike on an exceptionally nice day! Fantastic views of Salmon Creek and plenty of picture taking opportunities. 🙂 The only real issue was that my back SI joint was quite painful for the last 1/2 mile. An aleve helped relieve the pain.
