I’m not going to discuss politics but am so grateful the Midterm elections are over! I’m sure there are many more millions of people with the same feeling.
So I just didn’t want to drive today as I got out late and the early sunset was going to limit the time out there. One of my go to hikes, in this situation, is Whipple Creek Park. It never disappoints and is a decent workout.
It was cold and cloudy when I started hiking but the clouds burned off later in the hike. Such a refreshing temperature in the 50’s, and more enjoyable to hike in. My hike basically consisted of meandering around the park in a counter-clockwise direction. If I provided my track log you would see just how chaotic my meandering appeared to be. 🙂
Most of the leaves were on the trail but there was enough still on the trees, and it messed with my eyes. The recent rains have started to turn the trail to mud and the fallen leaves have helped keep the mud off the shoes. Later in the winter my boots will get muddy just the same.
A couple people on horseback were seen. I also bumped into a couple women and gave them directions on how to get back to their car. It can be easy to get turned around in this park but there are maps on most major trail intersections.
A very nice relaxing hike!
