Whipple Creek Regional Park Hike

Hike Distance: 6.0 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1707.5 miles

Elevation Gain: 985 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 224739 feet

Yet another visit to this wonderful park!  I’m still trying to assess how my toe will do after having the cortisone shot.  The hike went smoothly and even ascending/descending wasn’t bad.  That said, it’s only been two days and I’m really more concerned about the long run.  There was no pain after the hike so I finally got a good nights sleep, which is very important!

Such a hazy day with showers in the morning and overcast at the end of the hike.  I only saw two people on the trail during the entire hike, which was wonderful.  I got out late, and as a result was hiking close to sunset, and loved the darkness that was falling upon me.  It’s a spooky feeling to be alone in the forest, while it’s getting dark, but I really love it!  A wonderful day!
