Whipple Creek Regional & Fairgrounds Parks Hike

Hike Distance: 7.7 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 11754.3 miles

Elevation Gain: 821 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 228944 feet

My son and I went out for a nice hike before our family Thanksgiving get-together.  This was definitely a good way to relieve stress before a family event. haha  We went here because it was close and we didn’t have much time.  I also wanted to show my son the trail that leads to Fairgrounds Park, as he had never been there before.

The day started with a little drizzle but soon became a constant rain.  I had my full rain gear on but my son only had on his backup waterproof jacket.  He was carrying waterproof pants but kept refusing to put them on.  Needless to say, the bottom half of his body was soaked!  Kids.

A nice hike but the mud on the trail is starting to get worse as more rain falls.  I didn’t take many pictures since it was raining heavily most of the hike.
