Lewisville Regional Park Hike

Hike Distance: 4.2 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 15.1 miles

Elevation Gain: 407 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 1573 feet

I woke up today feeling like crap and the corresponding headache didn’t help.  I was considering not going on a hike today but soon realized that only some fresh air beautiful scenery and exercise would kick me out of this funk.  So, needing a short hike, to accommodate my back issue.

Lewisville Park just called out to me today, and I drove out there to elevate my mood and get some endorphins flowing.  There’s plenty of parking at this park and I parked in an area that leads up to the forested section of this area.  I then proceeded to make a clockwise loop around Lewisville Park.

My favorite part of this hike is always the Lewis River viewpoints, and there are a multitude of them!  This is where most of the photo opportunities exist, and I took advantage of this.

As I suspected, going for a hike changed my mood immensely. 🙂  This is yet another instance of hiking saving the day.  The best news of all is that my back held up very well, and I experienced minimum discomfort!
