Whipple Creek Regional Park Hike

Hike Distance: 5.6 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 36.8 miles

Elevation Gain: 700 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 3210 feet

Such a slow start to this new year, but as long as I’m getting out all is good!  This park is beyond a doubt the closest place that has some elevation gain.  I’m going to be keeping my hikes shorter to help heal my back, and it seems to be improving, slowly.

Very wet weather sure gave me a bunch of solitude.  This park has a major mud issue when the wet season hits, and my boots must have had an extra pound of mud sticking to them.  I took it slowly and concentrated on minimizing impact to my back.  This appeared to work as I didn’t have any pain there.  Definitely a short but sweet time on the trail!
