Forest Road Hike

Hike Distance: 7.8 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 56.4 miles

Elevation Gain: 1060 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 5277 feet

After feeling so good on my last hike I decided to go on a much longer hike than I have been doing.  Also, this was my first hike, with my wife, since she got back from visiting her father, and she was ready to get some exercise.  It was a beautiful day and we didn’t feel like seeing any people, so we just decided to walk the forest roads.

I have to admit that I was almost entirely focused on walking in a way that wouldn’t bother my SI joint.  I was looking at the beautiful forest but it definitely took a back seat to minimizing impact on my body.  I was so glad that my back held out and it gave me some hope of things getting better.
