This morning I was able to see my Orthopedist, again, and discuss the pain in my back. He came up with a plan of attack for addressing my back issue, and I feel a bit more optimistic about moving forward. He still feels it may not be my SI joint and indicated the cortisone injection into the ligaments, near the SI, was successful, and possibly points to something else. My left hip is forward and range of motion in my leg hip is deficient. A note to my physical therapist was made to address this.
I now have appointments with a D.O., to manipulate my back, has been scheduled for next week. I also have a different D.O. scheduled for next month, to get another opinion. A MRI will be in order if things don’t help in the next few weeks. I will also be seeing him in a couple weeks, after the D.O has given his assessment and done the manipulation! I’m a bit more hopeful but know this is a longer road to healing than expected. That said, he would like me to keep my hikes from 4-6 miles long and with a minimal of elevation gain/loss. 😦
Certainly a beautiful day to walk along the Frenchmen’s Bar and enjoy the Columbia River. I just enjoyed getting out in the fresh invigorating air.
