We only got a chance to hike once this weekend, due to family activities yesterday. We decided to stay close and just headed out to a forest road hike. It was a beautiful day but with just enough coolness in the air. Our son also joined us.
I decided upon visiting the Moulton Falls area again, and see the Lewis River and waterfalls. It was a nice cool day and just an enjoyable walk. I tried hiking the Yacolt Creek loop but the bridge was still closed. I met a nice gentleman on the Bell’s Mt. trail and we talked a while. He seems to be dealing with a multitude of health issues, but was still able to get out today. I wished him well!
A beautiful day and the Trillium flowers are out in force! I’m still removing some ivy during each visit but not being aggressive since it hurts my back.
I went out today but wasn’t in my best form. I managed to squeak out some mileage but just wasn’t in the mood to be out. This occasionally happens but isn’t the norm. I did enjoy the hike but actually felt good about getting back home.
One of those gorgeous, warm days in spring that I just couldn’t not hike. Again, I got out late and just stayed close to home. I was feeling pretty good today and extended the hike to include the Cougar Creek Trail. Plenty of people out, as you’d expect. I loved the flowering trees and even spotted a Bald Eagle perched on a tree!
Hiking the circumference of the earth (25,000 miles)!
