As I’ve mentioned before, this trail is over 50 miles long, and therefore every hike here is an out-and-back journey. We parked at the Adna, WA TH, and there’s a washroom there, which is convenient for a trail where getting privacy may be difficult. Today was a gorgeous and clear day, so privacy wasn’t very possible, when we needed to take a pee. From the parking area you couldn’t tell how crowded the trail was. Once on the trail we saw families, hikers, bikers and people on horseback. You couldn’t blame people being on the trail when it’s this amazing outside.
From the mileage you can tell I was feeling pretty good today, In fact, the manipulation of my back helped quite a bit! We hiked west from Adna and crossed a couple of large bridges, one which was a Trestle. One bridge span over the Chehalis River was very long. The views of the Chehalis River were awesome, and very photo worthy!
Such an amazing day and I got some hope that my back would be improving with time. We’ll have to come back and work on completing this trail someday. We still have about half the trail remaining before we’ve completed the entire length.
