It was supposed to rain and it didn’t disappoint. It down-poured for most of the hike and felt cold at the when we started out. We really weren’t well prepared for the colder temps and heavy rain, but we had enough gear to feel okay about continuing. Everything turned out okay as we warmed up after we started moving. Our clothing was saturated at the end of the hike, and I mean inside and out!
We went in a large loop on a forest road and did a little extra exploration on a road we’ve never been upon. Nobody was out there, except us, and the rain probably convinced them to stay inside! The rain let up towards the end of the hike, but we were still glad to get back to the car.
