Quite busy at home again today and so I got out late. I do enjoy when I have a productive morning and so it was well worth it. I have a time limit when I have to get back since I’ll be seeing my grandchildren tonight, so I decided came here.
Quite the hazy day with no visibility of any volcanoes. Very humid and nice and warm, and makes it feel like summer, finally! There were some Ospreys overhead and took a few pictures and they were beautiful.
I tried walking along the beach in the southerly direction but there was a flock of geese enjoying the nice warm sand and I decide not to bother them. Instead, I went South on the Dike and it’s full of high grasses at this point, but not a big deal.
I was entering something into my day-timer and I heard a splash behind me in the Columbia River. I turn around there’s an osprey with a fish in its claws, flying off with a meal! My timing sucks!
I bumped into a very nice woman, Michelle, and we had a nice long conversation! I always enjoy meeting new people during hikes, and we discussed many interesting topics. 🙂
A very nice day and glad I could enjoy it for a few hours!
