Lacamas Park Loop Hike

Hike Distance: 5.7 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1129.9 miles

Elevation Gain: 853 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 143686 feet

A very late start so we needed to stay close to home.  My wife hasn’t been to Lacamas Lake Park recently so we headed out there.

We got to the parking area and all I can say is that it was a zoo!  I expected this but it was still a shock.  I guess it’s telling of my age when seeing crowds of people feels overwhelming and undesirable.  Oh well, we went out with the intent of enjoying this beautiful day, and it didn’t disappoint. 🙂

We basically circum-navigated the park in a clockwise direction.  We got great views of the Upper and Lower Falls and also Round Lake.  When not in the vicinity of the lake or falls the trails people were scarce. 🙂  We didn’t stay out long so the hike was on the short side, but definitely sweet.
