Road Hike into Mt. Hood National Forest

Hike Distance: 9.4 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1139.3 miles

Elevation Gain: 1517 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 145203 feet

A beautiful and warm day but we wanted to avoid the crowds.  This was a road not far off of Hwy 26.  We were fortunate that there was shade along most of the road or we would have been fried by the sun.  The road led into the Mt. Hood National Forest, and the forest was alive there.  So many new trees in the under story.  A long hike for us, this summer, but it felt great!
