Whipple Creek Loop Hike with Fairgrounds Park

Hike Distance: 8.5 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1298.0 miles

Elevation Gain: 1083 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 170939 feet

A typical loop around Whipple Creek Park and I also hiked out to Fairgrounds Park.  Hiking both these areas gave me a much longer hike, which is what I wanted.

The highlight of the hike for me was visiting the progress of the Stone Mill reconstruction.  So much progress was evident and it will be nice when complete.  There was a sign indicating that people should stop putting Graffiti on the reconstructed mill.  It’s horrible that some people find it acceptable to vandalize our parks.  There’s so much graffiti everywhere, and it’s disgusting.  Unfortunately, only video cameras are going to be successful at catching and prosecuting these criminals. 😦
