PCT Trail Magic Hike South from Panther Creek

Hike Distance: 7.9 miles      Yearly Hike Distance: 1315.1 miles

Elevation Gain: 1162 feet      Yearly Elevation Gain: 172795 feet

We escaped the city to provide Trail Magic on the PCT, south of Panther Creek in WA! The weather mostly cooperated on our way south, which was where we met most of the Thru-hikers. On the way back to our car the rain came in and didn’t let up. We didn’t think there would be many Thru-hikers in this area, but we were wrong, and ecstatic to meet so many fantastic people! Just before reaching our car we went through the Panther Creek campground and came upon a large Trail Magic setup, complete with cover, chairs and lots of food. We talked with the gentleman but never got his name. Kudos to him for being supportive of the people on this wonderful trail.  We got home just in time for the torrential rain, and tornado that rarely occurs in Clark County WA!😨 Wishing the Thru-hikers a safe journey with all the bad weather moving in to the PNW.
