This was an interesting hike in that I was trying to use forest roads to get to Archer Mt., in the Columbia River Gorge! I failed to get very close, and found that the forest road is abandoned and not easily hiked in that region. I did get some distant views of the gorge.
It was a warm day and I was glad that there was a nice wind, at the elevation I was at. The hike was nice but I won’t be coming back to explore the Archer Mt. access as I don’t want to bushwack through high brush and grasses, and thorny plants. The number of spider webs was also ridiculous, and one large spider was on my pants. I almost didn’t look down but was glad I did, and brushed it off quickly!
